Anton Mayer
   Anton has lived in New Mexico for more than thirty years and his love of the state and the rest of the Southwest is clear in his striking and colorful works presented here. He paints exclusively in oils and his subject matter, primarily scenic, is developed through his frequent travels throughout the region.
   Anton’s images reflect the sparkling clarity of the air, the brightness of the light and the powerful distances that characterize Southwestern landscapes. Bright colors lend intensity to his works and depict the beauty of the land. He strives to unify color and composition, to create works of tranquility and harmony, and has said that he hoped the serenity and beauty which inspire him will elicit a similar emotional response from the viewer.
   Mayer has sold his works to an international audience through galleries in Santa Fe, Pojoaque, Albuquerque and Las Vegas. We are pleased to present the following works:
